This series was inspired by Circle Play, a book by Reynola Pakusich. The circles overlap in a way that makes them appear transparent. This is one of my favorite series in my collection.

South Africa Series

This series was born out of my hopes for equal rights in South Africa, for a country where black people could move about freely, without the necessity of government-issued pass. It honors the black South Africans who struggled for their freedom.

South Africa Triumphant
I conceived this quilt when Nelson Mandela visited Washington D.C., upon his release from prison.
